Green-Roofed Azaya Residence is Built Upon an Existing Foundation in Seattle

The Azaya Residence is Seattle-based Pb Elemental's latest project in their home town. After tearing down the dilapidated home that occupied the lot, the firm used the existing foundation to design and build the new three-bedroom home. The modern residence makes use of passive solar design, daylighting, natural ventilation and energy efficient systems to minimize energy use. Meanwhile rooftop decks and a green roof replace lost ground space.
