Roel de Boer’s New English Roofing Tile is a new green building product that could transform urban roofs into vibrant gardens. The plastic tiles are shaped like triangular pockets that can be placed on top of existing tiles, and they were designed for both plants and animals to live and nest on city rooftops. Like flat green roofs, the tiles will provide great insulation, energy savings, and they could also help to reduce stormwater runoff.
